Elected Vice-Chair of the European Parliament Delegation to the EU-Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee

I have been elected Vice-Chair of the European Parliament Delegation to the EU-Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee. I thank my colleagues for their trust, but above all, I see this vote as a significant responsibility at a historic moment.

The history of Europe is being written now at our eastern border. The Republic of Moldova faces an extraordinary window of opportunity to definitively break away from the nefarious influence of the East and take its rightful place within the European family.

My role and that of the Delegation will not just be to tick off reports, but to be real partners for Chișinău. This means:

• Concrete support in the fight against hybrid warfare and disinformation.

• Constant pressure in Brussels to accelerate accession negotiations.

• Assistance for necessary reforms in justice and the economy.

Negotiations must be technically rigorous, but led with a clear political ambition: irreversible integration. I am here to ensure that Moldova's voice is heard loudly in the European Parliament and that our brothers across the Prut are not alone on this journey.
