Conferința Renew Europe: Abordarea Strategică privind Marea Neagră

I visited Ljubljana, Slovenia, alongside Valérie Hayer, President of Renew Europe, and my colleagues from the group’s leadership, to send a signal of unity by supporting the democratic, pro-European government and Prime Minister Dr. Robert Golob ahead of the elections on March 22.

Over the course of two days, we held a series of working meetings regarding the future of Europe and EU enlargement in Moldova, the Western Balkans, and Ukraine; energy, security, and the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), which is currently under parliamentary debate:

• A discussion on the future of the EU with Marta Kos, European Commissioner for Enlargement;

• A discussion on the stability and prospects of the European economy with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Klemen Boštjančič;

• A meeting and press conference alongside Robert Golob, Prime Minister of Slovenia;

• A political dialogue with Urška Klakočar Zupančič, President of the National Assembly, and MPs from the liberal party Gibanje Svoboda;

• A meeting at the Government Headquarters on international security, the necessary reforms of the EU decision-making system, and energy policies with Bojan Kumer (Minister of Environment, Climate, and Energy), Tina Seršen (State Secretary for Energy Policy), Igor Mally (State Secretary for European Affairs), and Vojko Volk (State Secretary for National and International Security).

• A special moment was reuniting with Nika Kovač, coordinator of the "My Voice, My Choice" campaign - an example of successful activism that is more necessary than ever in today’s Europe.
