Conferința Renew Europe: Abordarea Strategică privind Marea Neagră

I spent two days in Chișinău as part of the European Parliament delegation to the EU-Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee, reconfirming our firm support for the Republic of Moldova’s European path and the swift opening of accession negotiations. We met with President Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, the Vice-President of Parliament Doina Gherman, the EU Ambassador to Chișinău Iwona Piórko, as well as ambassadors from EU Member States and representatives of civil society. Our discussions focused on the progress of the steps Moldova has taken toward EU accession, the ongoing reforms, the necessity of opening negotiation chapters without delay, and the implementation of the Growth Facility for Moldova. This facility provides nearly €2 billion to support critical reforms and facilitate economic integration. Moldova’s future lies within the European Union!
